Hi,

Can anybody help this guy? I haven't really been following the 2.2 patches
closely enough to know what changed.

Subject: Possible Bug in lp-module (Kernel 2.2.8)

- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello Philip,

after I did an upgrade from kernel 2.2.7 to 2.2.8 I have been unable to print
via the parallel-port. The data were sent to the interface via lpd in the
wright way, but there was no printout (after a few seconds the printing queue
was empty. Thus it seems, the interface accepted in some way the data).

After downgrading to kernel 2.2.7 printing was possible without any problems.
One of the things which have been changed in kernel 2.2.8 was the module lp.c.
Maybe there the reason of this bevaour.

regards
Michael
