    "IRQ 255" means no interrupt. It's a bit unfortunate if PLIP is reporting it
    in those terms; might be some kind of `unsigned char' variable in the works.
    Anyway, try "insmod parport_pc io=0x378 irq=7" or some variation on that theme.
